Steam Gift Card prices

Steam Gift Cards and Steam Wallet codes both add funds to the Steam Wallet on your account. Steam says they work like gift certificates for games, software and anything else sold on Steam.

How to redeem

1. Sign in to your Steam account.
2. Open the Redeem a Steam Gift Card or Wallet Code page.
3. Type the code into the Steam Wallet Code field and click Continue.

Your balance then appears in the upper right corner, next to your profile name. If Steam rejects a code, check for characters that are easy to mix up: 0 and O, 1 and I, B and 8, G and 6. Wallet funds can't be moved or gifted to another Steam account, so redeem on the account you will use.

Regions and currency

On its redeem page, Steam says gift cards and wallet codes are converted to the currency of your Steam Wallet when you redeem them, no matter where they were bought. The amount that lands in your wallet is therefore in your wallet's currency, which may not be the currency printed on the card. If your wallet has never held a balance, Steam may ask for your address to set its currency.
