Strategy War Gaming in Saratoga

Saratoga is a turn-based strategy wargame set during a pivotal moment in history, the Battle of Saratoga on September 19, 1777. Designed by Mark Miklos and published by GMT Games, this title is the first volume in the Great Battles of the American Revolution series. Players can engage in solo play or challenge another human in online matches, immersing themselves in the tactical challenges faced by historical commanders.

What to Expect from the Battle of Saratoga

In Saratoga, players navigate a hexagonal map that reflects traditional boardgames of the 70s and 80s. Each unit is represented by a marker, allowing for strategic maneuvering across the battlefield. The game provides three distinctive scenarios, giving players the chance to explore alternate historical outcomes, including a hypothetical British counterattack that could have changed the war’s trajectory.
