Sekigahara

The 1600 campaign

Sekigahara is a two-player strategy game for PC about the 1600 campaign that ended at the Battle of Sekigahara. You command either Tokugawa Ieyasu or Ishida Mitsunari, moving forces across Japan, seeking daimyo loyalty and fighting for key locations. It’s a digital adaptation of Matt Calkins’s GMT Games board game.

Cards and loyalty

There are no dice or lucky rolls. Cards govern both movement and combat: spending cards lets you move armies, while committing a block to battle requires a card matching its clan. That means a move can leave you short of the cards needed to fight. If you spread loyalty too thin, blocks can switch sides during battle, so your hand affects which forces you can count on.
