YuoniZero

Exploring a Troubling Past in YuoniZero

YuoniZero transports players to the mid-90s Japan in a VR visual novel setting, where nostalgia meets horror. By placing you in the shoes of two elementary school children, the game delves into themes of fear and family turmoil. With the Internet in its infancy and only a handful of adults possessing cell phones, this tale immerses players in a world stripped of modern distractions, leaving them to confront unsettling truths.

Unearthing the Mystery of the Tsun

At the core of YuoniZero lies a haunting story centered around the protagonist, Shuji, a fifth-grader grappling with the instability of constant relocations due to "grown-up stuff." His journey is set in a countryside town filled with local folklore, including the chilling school ghost story known as the Tsun. Shuji's initial skepticism gives way to an unsettling reality, drawing him deeper into the town's mysteries, alongside his friend Nami and their peers.
