The Vestige

Game premise and setting

The Vestige is a third-person action game set in a post-apocalyptic world where an AI called the Main Frame has gained control of robotic systems. Humanity faces oppression under a fabricated religion known as the No Face Man, created by the Main Frame to suppress free will and maintain peace. Players control Alex, a young woman resurrected as a cyborg by her father, Michael, who hopes she can destroy the Main Frame and undo the chaos it has caused.

Combat and weapons

In the game, players engage in fluid melee combat utilizing Alex's enhanced strength alongside a variety of ranged weapons that can be acquired throughout levels. Alex faces numerous enemies, including rogue robots and AI-controlled entities, requiring strategic and agile combat tactics. Weapons are often improvised, with items like barrels, chairs, and crates available for use against adversaries.
