Tactical deckbuilding

Shadow and Rune is a tactical roguelike deckbuilder for PC. You play cards as minions on a 4x5 battlefield, then build spell-rune chains whose order determines how they trigger. Each fight asks you to position minions around their attack patterns and the squares enemies are choosing, while managing a limited supply of torches to take actions.

Rune chains

Spell runes go into a bar, and their order matters. One rune amplifies whatever is to its left; another copies the rune on its right. When you trigger a Reckoning, it runs the chain from one end to the other. A bar assembled across several fights can set off runes in sequence, including combinations you didn't plan when you first added them.
