Nomad Knight: Blunt Blade Theory is a directional melee action RPG for PC that emphasizes skilled combat and player strategy. Players engage in melee fights where every action depends on manual inputs. There are no automated fights, and the game focuses on positioning, directional attacks, and timing. Players can choose to parry, dodgeroll for defense, or use kicks to disrupt enemies.

Combat and weapons

The game offers four types of weapons, each with distinct styles and associated stats. The one-handed sword is the fastest with a decent reach, favoring the Breath stat. The sword and shield combination provides the best defense and a larger parry window, favoring HP. The greatsword has the best range and reach and favors both HP and damage. Dual swords offer superior offense and wider effective area but favor damage. Additionally, players can select from six different armor types, which impact dodging ability and defense.
