Boxing solitaire in 1920

Mickey Palooka is a boxing solitaire game for PC, set in New York in 1920. You owe bookmaker Abe Saltz $3,600, and have ten weeks of fights to pay him before he sends someone to collect. Choose opponents from a roster of 50 boxers, fight your way from New York to Los Angeles, and decide how to handle the debt as the deadline approaches.

One hand, both fighters

Your punches and your opponent’s come from the same hand of cards. Six cards are face up each round; you play four, and the two you leave behind return in the next round, when you have to play them. Diamonds let you hit or guard yourself. Hearts can be banked in your corner to help you get up after a knockdown. You have up to twelve rounds to settle a fight, choosing which punches to block, take or leave for later.
