Iron Wake

What it is

Iron Wake is a free-to-play co-op action game for PC that combines first-person combat with a wave-based structure. Players fight against medieval hordes with up to three friends, engaging in a cycle of battling enemies, managing resources, and upgrading their gear. Each run allows for progression, where players can choose to reset or carry over some elements for future attempts.

Combat and enemies

The gameplay revolves around choosing which enemy waves to fight, with a pressure mechanic that prompts players to act quickly or face increased enemy aggression. There are six enemy types, including elite variants, and bosses appear every five waves. Players must clear waves, loot chests, and manage their resources while deciding whether to push further into the game or end their session.
