ABOUT THIS GAME
Rune-based combat
Glyphwild is a PC action game where you fight hordes of creatures using heroes whose attacks are shaped by runes. Each hero has a board of core runes, with up to 10 sub-runes socketed beneath each one. Their order changes how effects combine: put a fireball rune under a lightning rune and shocked creatures call down fire; chain frost into shattering ice, or poison into spreading plague. There are 10 elements and 786 runes to wire together.
Combat sends thousands of creatures at you at once, including thorn hounds, bark apes that hurl boulders, briarwings that swoop in, and the risen dead. You can also assign nine active skills to the keys 1 through 9. Examples include flight on rune wings, a frost prison, starfall and stilled time.
