Game type and premise

Die and Decay is a dark fantasy dice-placement roguelike for PC. Players start with three dice and a small town of cards, aiming to build combinations that help them survive encounters against medieval horrors. The health of both the player’s Hero and the city influences gameplay, meaning players must balance offense and defense.

Dice mechanics

You use dice to make decisions on different needs, such as applying a die towards an attack, acquiring resources, or improving your capabilities for future encounters. Dice face values are critical, and players can reroll or transmute dice to change their outcomes. You stack matching dice on Hero and Building cards for rewards over multiple turns, and committed stacks can produce resources even as they decay.
