Chess-based roguelite

DEVORYA is a chess-based roguelite set in a world that repeats. You fight on compact 5×6 boards, using chess pieces’ movement patterns to position your pieces and attack enemies. A piece can become exposed after a mistake, while a well-chosen move can turn a battle around.

Absorption and abilities

When a piece absorbs an enemy, it changes form and gains that piece’s movement pattern. For example, a Pawn that absorbs a Knight can move like a Knight on its next move. Absorbed pieces can also bring Traits and Abilities into your strategy.
