Fading Embers is a DLC for This War of Mine that presents a new narrative-driven scenario centered on the character Anja. Set in a warzone, the story explores heavy themes concerning survival, human legacy, and the ethical dilemmas faced in dire circumstances. Players navigate choices that impact the fate of survival, both personal and cultural.

New locations and shelters

The DLC adds new locations in the city of Pogoren, including two new shelters for survivors. Nine locations from the original game have been overhauled with improved designs, allowing for more exploration and resource management within both familiar and fresh environments.
