Tide-based platforming

TIDESTEP is a PC platform puzzle game about Maru, who carries a tide charm from Grandma Soon-yi through a harbor after a storm silences its guiding bells. You jump between ledges and try to ring the bells before the dawn boat returns. The tide changes with each jump from solid ground, cycling from low to rising to high, so the state of the water when you land matters as much as reaching the next ledge.

Boats and lifts move with the water, while gates open or close as the tide changes. You cross eight routes, from the harbor piers through jellyfish waterways, a ruined fish market, a flooded warehouse and a windswept breakwater. After releasing three locks at the great gate, Maru continues through the fogbound outer harbor to the dawn lighthouse. Checkpoints give you another attempt if you fall.
