Building Your Maximum Security Prison

In Prison Architect, players take on the role of a warden, tasked with designing and managing a maximum security prison. As dawn breaks over the countryside, the urgency of prison design becomes clear. Workmen arrive to lay bricks for the holding cell as a bus full of prisoners is on its way. The clock is ticking, and every decision matters in this vital stage of prison creation.

Designing Essential Facilities

Creating a fully functional prison goes beyond just cells. Players need to strategically plan vital facilities such as a canteen, infirmary, and guard room. Supervision and prisoner welfare directly impact overall satisfaction and security. Failing to provide basic amenities can lead to chaos, emphasizing the importance of thoughtful layout in your prison design.
