Yokai Parade

Game premise and setting

Yokai Parade is a resident idle game for PC that displays a continuous parade of yokai along the bottom edge of your screen while you multitask. As you go about your activities, different yokai appear, including a lantern ghost, a tofu carrier, and a kappa. The primary interaction involves watching these creatures amble by as you accumulate in-game currency called koban.

Growing the parade

You can spend koban to open tiles on a growth board, which in turn affects the parade. Opening tiles may unveil rarer yokai, increase the overall activity of the parade, or reveal special features like a shrine or torii gate hidden under purple tiles. This mechanic encourages exploration and strategy as you decide which tiles to open to optimize your parade's potential.
