YATAI: A STREET COOK'S TALE

Cooking from a cart

YATAI: A STREET COOK'S TALE is a PC cooking and restaurant-management game about a martial-arts master’s son who leaves home to become a cook. You start with a wooden cart and prepare street food by hand, using the mouse to chop vegetables, toss noodles in a wok, turn skewers on a grill, fold gyoza and spin takoyaki.

A day at the stall

Each day has a routine: shop for ingredients in the morning, serve customers through the day, then count your takings in the evening. You buy equipment and arrange it on the cart’s cramped counter. Adding dishes to your menu brings in more customers and money, but hungry people won’t wait long.
