In Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, players return to the underworld of the Yakuza through the eyes of Kazuma Kiryu, the revered Dragon of Dojima. Set three years after the events of Yakuza 5, Kiryu is determined to leave behind his violent past for a peaceful life. However, when tragedy strikes, he becomes a guardian once again, embarking on a journey that intertwines family ties with the ruthless Yakuza landscape.

A Family in Crisis

The narrative opens with Haruka slipping into a coma following a grave accident, leaving her young son, Haruto, without care. Kiryu's protective instincts kick in as he decides to take Haruto to Onomichi, Hiroshima, the last place Haruka was seen. Here, Kiryu must confront old enemies and uncover the identity of Haruto's father, while contending with the interests of both the Tojo Clan and Yomei Alliance, who are now hunting them.
