Typing through classic books

Writificer is a PC typing game built around copywork: you type passages from classic books, reading as you go. Your place is saved in every work, so you can stop and return later. Each book you work on appears on your shelves, where used books grow worn and completed ones become gilded.

There are 74 works, including all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays and his 154 sonnets. The collection also includes novels such as Pride and Prejudice, Moby-Dick and Dracula; short stories by writers including Poe and Chekhov; poems, essays, speeches and letters; and works such as The Odyssey, Beowulf and the King James Bible. Reference books include Webster’s 1913 dictionary, Roget’s Thesaurus and a 1911 encyclopaedia.
