Vortex Force

Game summary

Vortex Force is a tactical RPG set in a high fantasy realm under threat from void energy abominations. Players control a roster of heroes, selecting a party of four and embarking on quests across diverse worlds accessed through portals. The game combines retro-style combat with elements of modern roguelike design, offering a mix of strategic battles and resource management.

Combat mechanics

Combat occurs on a grid-based map where players control up to eight characters, each with unique defenses, spells, and special attacks. Players must maneuver through complex terrain with obstacles, cover, and hazards while managing their party leader to avoid defeat. Combat requires careful resource management, as hit points and mana do not restore between encounters.
