Typesmith - A Typing Roguelike

Game premise

Typesmith is a typing roguelike where players use their keyboard as a weapon. Words appear around the arena and move toward your core. Typing each word destroys it, but missing a letter results in losing ground. If a word touches the core, the round ends.

Combat and mechanics

The primary combat consists of rapidly typing words that spawn from the edges of the arena. Players must maintain accuracy and speed, as each round requires hitting a score target to end it. A run includes twelve rounds, featuring bosses at key milestones. The game introduces various word types like gilded, shielded, and volatile words, each with unique challenges.
