Tunnelborn

Fossil digging under a volcano

Tunnelborn is a PC game about digging for fossils beneath a volcano. You clear the underground one tile at a time, deciding when to move and dig.

Lava, lamp and the dark

Nothing moves until you do. After each move, lava creeps closer, your lamp burns lower, and something in the dark takes another step towards you. The game’s hazards are tied to the same turn-by-turn rhythm as the digging.
