Game premise and mechanics

TSURIBAKU is a fishing simulation game on PC that combines the tranquil act of fishing with aerial combat mechanics. Players are tasked with casting their lines into the sea and waiting for a catch. Once a fish is hooked, time slows down, and players must switch to shooting the fish to prevent it from escaping. The game incorporates three acts: sailing, fighting, and execution.

Fishing and combat

During the sailing phase, players navigate an endless ocean that simulates real wave dynamics. In the fighting phase, players must manage the tension on their line by giving slack when the fish runs and reeling it in when fatigued. The sea state determines the difficulty of these interactions. In the execution phase, players enter slow motion to shoot the fish as it breaches the surface, aiming to reduce its health to zero before it hits the water.
