The Stairwell

A descent through the building

The Stairwell is a walking simulator for PC set in an apartment building. After waking from a hangover on the top floor, you walk down a strange corridor, gathering information and solving puzzles as you try to leave. The stairwell seems to have no end, and there may be more than one person in the corridor.

Puzzles and presentation

The game uses Unreal Engine 5 for its horror visuals and sound. It also includes simulated movement and interactions, with narrative details revealed through interactions along the way.
