The Relativity Tales is a PC interactive science story about Einstein’s special relativity. You work through thought experiments using interactions rather than equations, investigating how motion affects space and time. The game introduces ideas such as the Lorentz transformation, the relativity of simultaneity, length contraction and time dilation.

Spacetime thought experiments

The early chapters focus on the rules behind those concepts. You examine the Lorentz transformation, then consider why two events that seem simultaneous to one observer may not be simultaneous to another. Later, the game turns to length contraction and the way time changes with motion. Its approach is to make these principles tangible through interactive scenarios instead of asking you to memorize formulas.
