The Ocean is not Water

The Ocean is Not Water: A Cosmic Horror Journey

In The Ocean is Not Water, players awaken at the bottom of an ancient sea, where hunger takes form and an eldritch predator rises. This incremental game invites you to transform as you consume strange aquatic life. Your body instinctively hungers for knowledge, while the vast nothingness of your surroundings reminds you that you’re not just a shark; you’re something beyond that, something primal and powerful.

Transforming Through Entropy and Devouring

Steering your hungry incarnation through a bioluminescent landscape, you utilize sonar pulses to lure prey towards your jaws. Eating is an active pursuit here, with 16 tiers of ever-more bizarre marine life to exploit. As you chomp down on fish and experience their unraveling, the game ignites a satisfying cycle, your consumption translates directly into progression, shaking your screen and shattering numbers in a dance of entropy.
