The Mermaid of Zennor

The Heart of The Mermaid of Zennor

Loneliness permeates the world of The Mermaid of Zennor. Players step into the shoes of Lilac, a young girl grappling with neglect from her parents and unkindness from classmates. Her emotional struggles are amplified by the absence of her older brother, Jesse, who has left their small Cornish village for university life in London. The narrative unfolds as her yearning leads her down a dark path of obsession, creating a compelling backdrop for a deeply engaging story.

A Tapestry of Complex Characters

Lilac's story is enriched by a cast of supporting characters. Aislinn, the bubbly classmate, and Mrs. Khoury, the school's counselor, provide fleeting moments of connection, but even they fall short of filling the void in Lilac's heart. The bond she shares with Jesse is her only anchor, one she desperately clings to. Their relationship forms the axis of her emotional turmoil, intensifying as she faces the reality of his new love interest, a mysterious woman who threatens to pull him away even further.
