The Makeshifter

Retro Platforming with a Twist: The Makeshifter

The Makeshifter is a captivating retro platformer that brings a refreshing twist to classic gameplay. With its optional minor puzzle elements and diverse level designs that include alternate routes and roaming boss fights, players will find themselves strategically navigating a colorful world. The game excels in combining items, giving players the ability to innovate their approach as they progress.

Item-Combining Mechanics that Inspire Creativity

A standout feature of The Makeshifter is its item-combining system. Tools scattered throughout the levels can be activated for temporary combinations or merged for more permanent effects. For instance, a simple pole can serve as the backbone for a pogo stick when paired with a spring. Players can delve deeper by adding a spike, transforming their pogo stick into a powerful pogo-drill that clears obstacles as they bounce.
