The Librarian

A magical library

The Librarian is a library management game for PC. You run a magical library in the Maldevere family, whose members are known for their magic. Your character lacks magical talent and was given the job by their father, Archmage Dorian Septimus Maldevere. The work is meant to be shelving and filing, but the library serves mages, alchemists and scholars, and some of its books are dangerous.

Requests and book lending

You scan requests, decide what to handle first, retrieve books and keep track of multiple orders as clients wait. Giving someone the wrong book can be a problem: a jittery novice, for example, shouldn’t receive Introduction to Pyromancy. Some requests are more urgent than others, such as an alchemist waiting for The Art of Poison Neutralization.
