Game premise and structure

The Hollow Grounds is a survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world where players take on the role of a bioengineered survivor. After an experimental treatment prolongs your life, you find yourself in a world that has been devastated by mutations. The enemies, known as the Hollowed, are grotesque versions of humans that have transformed into frightening creatures. The game revolves around fighting these enemies, upgrading your armor, and reinforcing your home base to ensure your survival.

Combat and upgrades

In the game, you face waves of Hollowed that increase in difficulty, requiring you to adapt and improve your skills. As you defeat enemies, you earn money that you can use to upgrade various pieces of equipment, including your helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. The upgrades are critical for managing the escalating dangers posed by each new wave of enemies. You also have the option to reinforce your home, which acts as your refuge and a place to return to after each fight.
