The Hanging Game is a horror game that revolves around the classic word-guessing game Hangman. In this version, you are the one on the gallows. As you search for letters in an abandoned graveyard, you must guess a hidden word to escape. Each incorrect guess contributes to your demise, with a maximum of seven mistakes allowed before you hang. Your guesses revolve around physical letter stones scattered within the fog, which you need to carry to a designated altar to offer.

The voice and its influence

In the game, a voice observes your progress and interacts with you as you play. It confirms your choices but also doubts them, potentially miscounting your mistakes. This voice remembers previous playthroughs and allows you to never know when it is being truthful. Its unpredictable nature adds a layer of tension, as it might lead you to question your decisions.
