The Glacial Strain

Surviving the Frozen Crisis in The Glacial Strain

In The Glacial Strain, players find themselves in a world where melting glaciers have unleashed an unknown viral strain. This infection doesn't manifest immediately; it lurks within the host, waiting for the catalyst of death to activate its full potential. The backstory sets a chilling backdrop as government efforts to manage the outbreak lead to quarantines and public misinformation. In a time of crisis, hope still flickers among underground groups of survivors determined to document the destruction and fight against an invisible enemy.

The Weight of Infection: A Unique Mechanic

Unlike standard survival games, the infection in The Glacial Strain functions as a slow-moving threat. Players may not even realize they are infected until it's too late. This mechanic adds a layer of tension as survivors navigate the treacherous zones, knowing that death can signify their transformation into something far more dangerous. It challenges players to manage their resources while considering each move carefully, aware that their fate may hinge on choices made days or even weeks ago.
