The Gaffer is a football management simulation set in August 1959, where you take on the role of a football manager in Division Four. You manage a single club over a career spanning up to thirty years, facing the pressures and challenges of leading a team through promotions, relegations, and cup competitions.

Club management

In the game, all 80 clubs are based in real English and Welsh towns, each with unique local histories. As the manager, you'll navigate through a simulated league where rival managers have their own backstories, hired and sacked according to their performance. You’ll engage with the club's board, which evaluates your success not just on wins and losses but also on confidence, finances, and community relations.
