The Fog & Flask

Run the Mistmire bar

The Fog & Flask is a PC potion-making game about taking over the Mistmire bar after its owner, Old Orvin, disappears. He leaves a key, a recipe book, a note telling you to look for the pages, and a debt to the Alchemists’ Guild. You open the bar and serve guests, each of whose orders is a layered potion.

Pouring is a matter of controlling the stream: liquids have different densities, and pouring too hard churns the layers. Stop too soon and a layer comes up short. Glasses and flasks fill differently, and spills can bother fussier guests. There are 74 recipes, from two-layer brews to six-layer drinks, including 14 secret recipes.
