The Deposition

Story-driven visual novel

The Deposition is a story-driven visual novel for PC, set in a fictional world inspired by the European Renaissance with light fantasy elements. You follow Fascino, a young man of humble birth, from a remote provincial town toward the Holy City. Along the way, you meet clergy, nobles, arbiters, criminals, and ordinary citizens, and face choices shaped by faith, law, and personal ties.

Faith and power

The nations in the story follow the Rodelesius Church of Holy Reason, which worships Ratio, the God of Reason. Sacred laws, secular rulers, and Church authority uphold the age’s order, but war, natural disasters, and religious conflict still affect ordinary people. The story puts questions of right and wrong alongside the pressures of status and survival, asking whether Fascino will protect himself or act on his feelings.
