The Broken Oath

The vigil at Ashvale

The Broken Oath is a PC action role-playing game about taking up a paladin’s abandoned vigil. Your father was one of two paladins who held back creatures from the dark a decade ago, but he never returned. With a letter of recommendation and a broken medallion from your mother, you go to Ashvale to find Father Adelmo and take your father’s place.

Stamina and spacing

Combat is built around stamina, spacing and committing to each attack. Every swing uses stamina, and any enemy can kill you, including ones that look harmless. You read an enemy’s attack, wait for an opening, then strike to claim ground. The game’s fights ask you to pay attention to timing and position rather than swing without regard for the cost.
