Board-based card combat

Thalenor's Descent is a dark-fantasy strategy game for PC about managing a party of four across a board, building combat decks, and surviving simultaneous card fights. Runs combine preparation, movement and defense: you decide where to go and how to develop the party while pressure on the board keeps advancing.

Combat has no auto-battling. You and the enemy choose Attack, Block, Focus and items at the same time, so you have to read the fight and commit to a move without seeing the other side’s choice first. The party can lose lives during defense, and an overrun labyrinth ends the run.
