Tales of the Trade

A Merchant's Tale in an Enchanted World

In Tales of Trade, players take on the role of a savvy shop owner in a magical universe where item value stems from ancient spells rather than physical qualities. As you negotiate with customers in real time, you leverage psychological skills like Sweet Talk and Pressure to close deals. With each successful transaction, you not only build your wealth but also your reputation as a prominent merchant.

The Value of Magic: Beyond Traditional Mechanics

The game’s economy is centered around a magic-focused system where items derive their worth from Rarity, Condition, and the distinct Enchantments tied to them. Unlike typical RPGs that prioritize attributes like strength and agility, players must navigate a landscape where crafting and trading magical items are foundational to success. Each decision can have significant consequences, making understanding the intricacies of the economy essential.
