Tales of Acilain

The Shadow of Betrayal in Tales of Acilain

In Tales of Acilain, players grapple with the bitter fallout of betrayal and ambition in a kingdom steeped in darkness. An internal coup led by the power-hungry Stephan results in a grim curse cast by King Etso, who, as he lies dying, doomfully unleashes a demon, the Dark Man, who claims a soul each year. This year, that soul is yours. As the narrative unfolds, players must navigate the crumbling remnants of a once-mighty empire.

Harnessing the Phantom Limb Mechanic

Your character’s missing arm transforms into a tool of empowerment, serving as a conduit for spectral energy. Unlike conventional weapons, this lost limb offers unique mechanics for both navigation and puzzle-solving. Stretch across chasms, manipulate massive objects, and uncover pathways hidden within the ruins. Each encounter with the environment is as much about exploration as it is about utilizing the newfound abilities bestowed upon you by the spirit that saves you from the abyss.
