Sword & Soil

Farming and fighting

Sword & Soil is a PC farming and action RPG set around Riverford, a rural town where you take over a trip to market after your father’s knee makes it hard for him to haul the family’s harvest. The family bought its seeds on credit, and the grain buyer will pay full price only if the cart reaches town before the autumn fair. Slimes have also been spotted farther south than usual.

Farming and combat feed into each other. You till soil, water and plant seeds, then wait for crops to grow through twelve-day seasons that bring rain, snow and storms. Fishing and cooking provide meals that help with farm work or fights. Selling goods at market gives you money for weapons and armor in town, while food and equipment help on the road.
