Signal hunting

Static Meridian is a PC driving and signal-hunting game set in a desert basin. You travel by freeway, dirt road or open desert, following a receiver that pulses faster as you approach a broadcast. Once you’re in range, you stop and work through a short minigame to recover the recording. The airwaves carry ordinary voices, small dramas and transmissions that shouldn’t be there.

Each recording has a shape, and your car’s cargo grid has limited space. You decide what to keep and sell ordinary recordings to dealers with different tastes. Story transmissions go into your archive, where they help you piece together the life of Doc, whose work kept the basin’s towns going.
