Game premise and objectives

Spherebound is a top-down 2D action roguelite where players must survive against endless waves of enemies. Trapped in a magical space by a mysterious sphere, you cannot move but must utilize spells and elemental combinations to defend yourself. Each run tasks you with proving your worthiness to the sphere's power.

Combat and spells

In the game, you engage with various enemies in themed locations, which include caves and jungles. As you progress, enemies become increasingly powerful, compelling you to adapt your strategies. You can choose from dozens of different spell types, including fire attacks, ice control, lightning, defensive abilities, and summoned creatures. You can combine these elements for devastating effects, such as creating explosions with fire and frost or immobilizing enemies with plant and frost spells.
