Mage expeditions

Spells of Arcanetheria is a PC fantasy role-playing game about a mage making expeditions through dangerous regions with a staff and spells. You travel from the Forgotten Crypt through the seven-way crossroads, then into the Thornwood and up the Mountain, fighting enemies with magic. Each hero has one life, though a d20 roll when their health reaches zero can bring them back.

Spells and combat

There are more than 70 spells across five callings, plus the Forbidden. They include fireballs, chain lightning, poison clouds, frost and hexes. You find arcane knowledge in places such as crypts and mines; each fragment teaches a spell or improves one you already know. Spells can reach rank 100 through found knowledge and skill points, and mastered spells can be set to cast automatically, with up to five active at once.
