Setting and premise

Soul is a visual novel set in the city of Lyr, where Souls are treated as a commodity. In this world, large corporations can modify your Soul if you can afford it, while smaller merchants can offer temporary relief. Players follow Saen, a Soul developer who invents the Kindness Lattice, a device that aims to make individuals more kind and allows them to alter the Souls of others, should those others consent to the change.

Interaction and choices

The game involves reading the story by clicking on the screen. As you progress, you make choices that do not alter the overall plot but lead to different dialogue options throughout. This structure gives players a chance to explore various character interactions and viewpoints with each playthrough.
