The gameplay is divided into two key phases: Exploration and Escape. During the Exploration Phase, players must search for ritual dolls scattered throughout the eerie environment. Collecting three dolls and placing them on an altar triggers the horror's ascent—a terrifying Shade determined to thwart your escape. The decision of what items to carry plays a critical role in your strategy, as each player can only hold a limited number of items.

Once the dolls are offered, the Escape Phase begins. The escape gate opens, and players must use their wits and remaining items to outmaneuver both the Shades and rival teams. Here, the cooperative aspect shines: both teammates must cross the finish line for a successful escape. Expansive Multiplayer Mode

SHADE WALKERS features 6-player online matches split into three teams of two, allowing for both friend groups and matchmaking.
