RPM: Next Drag Racing Simulator is a PC drag racing game presented as a tech demo. You race against gangs that control the city, starting at the bottom and working through its districts. Win races to take territory, then challenge each district’s gang boss. The campaign’s stated goal is to conquer every district and become King of the Streets.

Shifting and tuning

Races hinge on timing your gear changes: shift within the optimal RPM range to gain speed, while missed shifts cost ground. The game also describes its racing physics as realistic. You can tune your car’s gearbox and upgrade its engine and nitrous, with changes reflected in its track performance.
