Game premise and structure

Reversed is a singleplayer roguelike tower defense game where you build defenses to wear down attackers instead of stopping them. You begin each run with twelve blocks and receive two additional blocks with each incoming wave. The objective is to survive through fifteen waves, collecting experience points (XP) along the way. After completing the waves, you participate in a phase where you become the attacker and attempt to break through your own created layout.

Building and strategy

In each wave, attackers bounce off your blocks, reducing their health with every ricochet. The effective placement of blocks is crucial, as different shapes serve various functions. Blocks can absorb damage, deflect incoming attackers, or be wedged into gaps. As you progress, the arena shrinks, making the need for tactical placement even more significant. There are ten shapes of blocks available, each serving different strategies.
