Rêverie: Audio Stories is a collection of illustrated, choice-based audio stories for PC. In its first story, you play the king’s messenger on a rain-soaked road to Corbeval, carrying a sealed letter that must reach the lord before midnight. Someone inside the walls wants to stop him. A narrator and a dozen character voices tell the story as you make decisions that change what happens next and which ending you reach.

Choices and movement

At each turning point, you choose between two large cards, left or right. When you reach a place, you pick where to go, such as the forge, chapel or tavern; your character walks there while you hear each step. The game has seven endings in “The Messenger of Corbeval,” which takes about 40 minutes, and you can replay it to find another ending. Fast-forward skips lines you’ve already heard.
