Game premise and objectives

Retroventory is a business simulation game set in a second-hand game shop located in the city of Neon Haven. Players take on the role of a shop owner, managing the buying and selling of used gaming consoles, handhelds, games, and accessories. The main objective is to negotiate deals, set prices, keep the shop running, and manage finances while facing various challenges that arise from both customers and the market.

Negotiation mechanics

Negotiation plays a central role in the game. When customers enter the shop, they may want to sell items or purchase goods, requiring you to inspect items and make offers. Each customer has their own negotiation style and limits, which means you must carefully time your offers to close deals without losing sales or leaving money on the table.
