Reel to the Stars is a PC fishing game built around short runs and persistent upgrades. You move a bobber with the mouse, and fish beneath it get hooked. Reel power pulls them in; after a run, you spend the coins from your catch on rods and gear. Better rods unlock new fish, and upgrades can eventually bring up a whole screen of fish at once.

Each fishing spot has a catch goal. Reach it and the Lord of the Waters appears; land that fish to open the next spot. There are nine locations, from Neighborhood Pond and Clear Stream to Deep Sea, Dragon Palace, and Space. Conditions change as you go, with hazards including weeds, currents, seagulls, sharks, jellyfish, blizzards, palace guards, and meteor debris. The sea gets wider farther from shore. In Space, the rod becomes a gravity rod and the whirlpool becomes a black hole.
